SORE
THROAT
2022 • Short Film • 28m 49s
Shot on B&W Super 8 film primarily in Providence, Rhode Island.
A depressed man wanders hopelessly around the streets of Providence longing for the “meaning of life” to be revealed to him. A story of becoming through absurdism, and an exploration of one’s self through the guise of Camus’ three options.
In September of 2022, the Providence premiere of Sore Throat was the first event to be held at the Brown Arts Institute’s recently finished Granoff Center for the Creative Arts. Sore Throat also premiered in New York at the historic Anthology Film Archives in March of 2023, and was selected by the Chicago Indie Film Awards for Best Experimental.
